During my first pregnancy we went to a group prenatal class. There were five couples. In the first month, one of the couples stopped coming because they lost the baby. It takes a LOT to get all those cells together and attached to the uterus for that kid to get started. It doesn’t always happen the first time around. There are SO MANY complications along the way. Spoilers, everything turned out fine for us. I just spent the entire pregnancy knowing that it might not turn out fine, even if I do everything right.
