My friend Otter, who does A Girl And Her Fed, has a Rottweiler named Cutter who is the most awesome dog in the world. He’s getting on in years so they got a puppy to keep him active. They were assured that it was a Rottweiler puppy. It is, but it’s also probably something else as well. It’s got horse legs!
I was listening to the book “Hammered” by Kevin Hearne while I inked this. I had penciled it as my super hero Octo but when I was inking it the story I was listening to was about how Thor is a jerk. That lead to the octo having a bit of a sneer.
As I set this comic up, Obby pointed at a scrap of cardboard on my desk that had numbers scribbled on it in sharpie. The cardboard had been ripped off of a box lid. He asked what it was. I said “It’s my inventory list from Akon, of course. How else do you think I’d keep track of my important documents?”
Then he started ranting something about spread sheets and digital inventory applications.
Honestly, some people just don’t know the first thing about archiving important information.
Yes, I have a filing cabinet. It’s empty.
Yes, I know it would be easier if I filed quarterly. And lawn maintenance isn’t so bad if you just do an hour a week. And I’d be a super model if I just worked out three hours a day.
I do pay quarterly estimated taxes though. It’s a hell of a kick in the teeth to try and pay that all at once.
Too much of anything is bad for you. Try a little of everything.
