This is word for word what happened. Though, in comic form, the build up to the punchline is a bit weak so I threw in a bunch of the people that I saw at the convention. There’s a Lincoln Ninja who said he was dressed as something from Aqua Teen Hunger Force. I didn’t draw it clear enough, but there’s a guy with a Mr. Potato Head on his shoulder that had something to do with Portal 2 that I didn’t get until Obby showed me the end of the game. A woman dressed as Ms. Frizzle. And in the third panel there was a whole group as the Oglaf characters! Mistress has a jar with a cumsprite. There’s the female mercenary and the besotted ice queen and the apprentice. Nigel got a little on the Hipster side.
I haven’t actually done a show with Nigel in years. The first few years that I was doing conventions, he was doing the same shows, so he kind of showed me the ropes: sharing crash space, travel, unabashed salesmanship. In the last panel my banner says “the devil’s accomplice.” …well, it will once I fixe the spelling on acomplice.
I’m playing with Corel sketchpad.
I haven’t been to Houston yet, but Comicpalooza invited me and they’ve got an amazing line up. Â They’ve set me up for a panel on Saturday called “Humor: It’s more than just a joke.”
“Kerrelyn Sparks, Jennie Breeden, Steven Brust. Make your readers laugh, and they will love you for it! Â Join writters for a serious look at humor, as they presents ten ways to incorporatehumor into your writing and explain how humor can be used to help you”
And I’ve got my own panel on Sunday at 1pm “How to start a webcomic”.
part of me was irked that I made that much money just standing there but it was all going to the charity “Childs Play”
It was totally worth it for the kids but dammit, I had merch at my table that they could buy too.
I had hidden a paddle under my shirt to take out and start bidding against the guy for myself but by the time I walked out on stage the bidding got up so high that I couldn’t afford to bid on myself.
I like that the third panel the banner says “devil’s miscreant”. Panel Van became a theme for me at What the Hell con.
I think Otter told me that the video games at the old peoples home was Ursula’s idea. I keep thinking of the scene in Back to the Future where he fixes the video game for the kids and they scoff “You have to use your hands? That’s a babies game!”
