I especially love the absolute chaos of a daycare performance. Ours has each class sing a christmas song and someone in each class is usually crying. There’s a ‘graduation’ ceremony and the parents are even more fun to watch. I hide because the toddlers are SO confused about how their parents are there but won’t come get them.
Morning drop off is a toss of the dice. I have NO idea if she’s going to shrug and be fine or if I’m going to gently lay down a screaming child, put a hand on her torso so she can’t get up, and make a run for the door.
And it all seems perfectly normal at the time.
Daycare is aaaalll about the grownup naps.
