Gina’s kids were totally unfazed by the downpour of a Portland Halloween.

This is my friend Gina from Strawberry Comics. The one year old is her second kid. The little girl in her arms is the first baby who caused a bit of an interesting dinner a while back at my house.
Turns out that you have contractions for a looooong time before all the screaming and pushing that you see in the movies. Having Gin of Red String over for dinner definitely made for an interesting night.

Gina is an amazing woman and now has a very healthy baby girl. Her webcomic is awesome but sometimes you have to pick one and here’s a hint; you can’t easily re-schedule giving birth. She was determined to do both though. “Yeah, I can run my table at Dragon Con… I’m due that week, but I can do it. Run the table during the day, go pop out a kid, be back at the table in the morning. Yeah, I can do it!” Even I told her she needed to cut down on the conventions. The woman is amazing!
Oh yeah, and I think my guest art is still up over at Red String. Go check it out! and maybe donate some money for diapers. I hear that shit gets expensive.
