I mean really, why should we bother trying to better society as a whole? If society wanted to be better, it would do it itself even with the crushing housing costs and slave wages and crippling healthcare costs and, wait, where did society get those pitchforks?
Because I didn’t buy the product until the following tax year, the government saw all the kickstarter income as profit. It balanced out in following years because I showed a “loss” but it was still a big lump sum that I didn’t have.
