There’s a group of people who show up and run the kilt blowing at Dragon Con. They’re convention attendees who, for the past 14? years have made sure Kilt Blowing happens. They do crowd control, line control, deflect possible trouble, assist and guid and make sure nothing happens to the event that they love.
People hand out ribbons that you can stick to your badge. They’ll have inside jokes themed around geek culture. The two grannies had “Nice parking spot, Rita!” and “I slipped on mah beans!” I think later someone gave me a ribbon that was just Mackenzie staring off. I’m always struck by the episode where he’s trying to be left behind because he’s dealing with trauma and anxiety. That show does not fuck around.
